As the summer is coming I decided to try out some new ice-cream recipes. The first one I used was very simple.I got the recipe from super savvy me.
500g frozen strawberries (no need to defrost)
100g caster sugar
300g double cream
This process is really quick so if you wanted to make a super-fresh dessert for guests you could nip out to kitchen and make the ice cream just before you need it.
- Whizz the frozen fruit in a blender.
- Whip the double cream and the sugar together then add this a few spoonfuls at a time to the fruit.
- Mix this together in the blender for a few more seconds.
Serving and Storing
For a soft, creamy chilled dessert, serve in tubs immediately.
Alternatively, spoon the mixture into a freezeable tub and freeze for two hours then it’s ready to serve.
